Engineering
A decade of building scalable, production-grade systems — from VGEC labs to IIIT-B research to enterprise architecture at IBM.
Engineer at heart, thinker by habit. I keep the IBM Cloud Object Storage control plane humming across ~820,000 instances — and lately I've been teaching myself to build with AI as a thought partner, teacher, and pair programmer.
I'm Yash — raised in Ahmedabad, forged in Bangalore. A BE in IT from VGEC and an MTech from IIIT-Bangalore later, I've spent 8+ years at IBM turning hard problems into systems that don't wake you at 3 a.m.
Today I lead the IBM Cloud Object Storage control plane — edge, provisioning, identity, billing and metering — across ~820,000 instances, with a team of 8 engineers. Lately I've gone deep on building with AI: thought partner, teacher, pair programmer. On the side I ship privacy-first web and iOS apps.
When I step away from architecture, you'll find me obsessing over markets, meditating on existence, hunting the perfect 90s track, or asking questions that have no clean answers.

Markets, money, and mental models. Financial literacy is a superpower; productivity isn't doing more — it's doing what matters.
Philosophy, meditation, and the deep mysteries of existence. India's wisdom traditions meet modern introspection — soundtracked by the 90s.
For the last few months I've been living inside AI tooling — not as a gimmick, but as a genuine collaborator. Thought partner when I'm stuck. Teacher when I'm learning. Developer when I just need it built. Here's where that's gone.
I use an internal agentic coding assistant every day — custom skills, subagents, slash commands, and modes — for code generation, legacy-code modernization, automated vulnerability detection and remediation, and first-pass code review.
I equipped all 8 engineers on my team with agentic AI tooling — now in daily use for code generation, with more advanced workflows (automated review, modernization, and testing) coming online.
I design and deliver privacy-first apps end-to-end — web, desktop, and native iOS — applying AI across design, development, and go-to-market. Four are live; four more land in 2026.
Honestly? The most interesting part isn't the code it writes — it's how it changes the questions I ask. And asking better questions has always been my favourite sport.
Good engineering isn't about clever code.
It's about decisions that age well.
— A note to my younger self
Privacy-first, offline-first things I design, build, and ship solo — each one to scratch my own itch, each one done with care.
Peer-to-peer file sharing in your browser. WebRTC transport, QR-code pairing, end-to-end encrypted. No servers, no signup, no upload limits.
A premium Pomodoro focus timer. Ten visual themes with ambient soundscapes, session stats, eight languages. Beautifully designed, fully offline.
Compress PDFs and images entirely in your browser. 100% private — files never leave your device. No uploads, no server, no data collection.
Living diagrams for software engineers. Describe a system in plain English and an AI model — your key, your browser — turns it into a laid-out, fully editable canvas. Seven diagram types, architecture insights included.
The calm, science-first habit tracker. Did you do the thing? Build honest streaks with fully on-device data. Try it free in the browser, then take it native.
A focus app built on a different idea — not blocking harder, just widening the half-second between reaching for your phone and deciding to. Calm, never shaming, all on-device.
Every other meditation app is a library; Samara is a path. Rooted in the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra — 112 ancient techniques, made modern. One transmission, deepening.
